Managing Director of Development
to join its platform in Atlanta. This is a senior leadership position for an entrepreneurial real estate professional with a passion for sourcing and executing new development opportunities. The role will focus on site origination, LOI negotiation, entitlement strategy, and early-stage underwriting while collaborating closely with internal teams on project launch and execution. This is a rare opportunity to join an institutional-quality platform at a formative stage of growth, with the ability to shape regional strategy and drive long-term value creation. Key Responsibilities
Source and secure new ground-up multifamily development opportunities across assigned Sunbelt markets Lead early-stage development efforts: market analysis, site identification, broker and landowner engagement, and feasibility assessment Negotiate LOIs and oversee due diligence, entitlement planning, and initial consultant coordination Collaborate with design, construction, and finance teams to underwrite and advance viable projects Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, municipal officials, and other regional deal sources Partner with the National Director of Development and C-suite to inform expansion strategy, regional priorities, and competitive positioning Represent the firm externally with professionalism and credibility Qualifications & Experience
12–15+ years of experience in ground-up multifamily development, with a track record of successful site sourcing and entitlement Deep knowledge of Sunbelt growth markets and strong regional relationships Proven ability to structure and navigate complex land transactions Financial acumen and analytical capability to assess project feasibility and risk Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field required; MBA or MRED preferred Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills If you're a seasoned dealmaker looking to make your mark within a fast-scaling platform, we'd love to hear from you.
