Shift:
Monday - Friday The value you will bring to the team: Primary responsibility for the timely preparation of complete and accurate annual income tax returns for all Adventist Health System (AHS) entities. Coordinate, ensure accuracy, and manage the timeliness of tax research projects. Participate in the Adventist Health System Contract Review Process. Provide leadership on Unrelated Business Income and other tax review projects. Engage in tax planning and corporate restructurings involving both taxable and tax-exempt entities. Serve as the primary payroll tax research resource for AHS Shared Services - Payroll. Lead the coordination of the annual tax return preparation process. Review federal and state income tax returns for taxable and tax-exempt entities included in the AHS financial statements. Perform tax research and review tax issues, including payroll concerns, within AHS. Assist with interactions with IRS and state/local taxing authorities regarding AHS tax issues. Lead the preparation of correspondence in response to notices from taxing authorities. Participate as a reviewer in the contract review process. Assist in tax planning for new business ventures and restructuring efforts. Help train and develop AHS tax department personnel. Participate in the annual ASC 740 (FAS 109) income tax provision process. Lead the implementation of tax law changes and IRS guidance. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required Master's Degree preferred 10+ years of work experience required Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
