Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hydrovac trucks to safely excavate and expose underground utilities. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and a commitment to maintaining safety standards on construction sites. The Hydrovac Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure efficient and effective excavation processes. Responsibilities Operate hydrovac trucks to perform safe excavation of underground utilities. Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with crew members to coordinate excavation activities on construction sites. Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs on equipment as needed. Assist in the operation of additional heavy equipment such as dump trucks, water trucks, graders, bulldozers, and backhoes when required. Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety and environmental practices. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with hydrovac trucks. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols. Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment. Ability to operate various types of heavy machinery including but not limited to dump trucks, water trucks, graders, bulldozers, and backhoes. Experience with horizontal drilling is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in all operations. Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation are preferred. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks associated with excavation work. Ability to travel as required. Based out of Jal, NM but position may require travel of up to 90%.
