Pay Information $2,073 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 13-26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience on a cardiac floor required. Traveler experience is required unless the traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience. License: NC or Compact license required before the start. Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: Skills in cardiac telemetry and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with sheath removal, post myocardial infarction care, and managing cardiac drips. Call-offs or additional requests for time off may result in a cancellation. Ratios vary per acuity. Ratios are 1:4 for surgical step down and 1:5-6 for lower acuity. Contract staff may be assigned to work during catastrophic events or disasters. The patient population includes individuals with atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and other cardiac conditions. Special procedures include various cardiac and thoracic surgeries. Equipment used may include arterial lines, EKG, and chest tubes. Documentation and medication systems used are Pyxis and Epic. Interviewing candidates will happen within a specified timeframe.
