Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery experience required License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP required Must-Have: AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within 2 years Description: TMC orientation is held twice a month. 3x12 or 4x12 option available. Float required based on census. Coverage every other weekend. Patient ratio is 1:2. No local candidates accepted. Patients include infants and adults. Daily census is approximately 14. The unit has 16 rooms and 16 beds. Staffing and scheduling are self-scheduled. Weekend coverage is required with four shifts per month. Pre-approved time off is limited to one occurrence. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, and social services. Patient diagnoses include labor, antepartum complications, and postpartum complications. Special procedures include cesarean sections and D&C. Special equipment includes external fetal monitoring. Travelers are expected to have prior experience and must adhere to compliance regulations. Blocked scheduling will not be accommodated. Travelers with more than one DUI on record or recent DUI incidents will not be considered.
