Are you passionate about helping kids be their best selves? UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a full-time medical assistant to support the office in Butler. Medical assistant experience preferred. Responsibilities
Patient Care: Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, labs, and assist physicians with procedures. Document patient information and relay instructions. Clinic Operations: Prepare and clean patient rooms, manage inventory, and ensure infection control. Administrative Tasks: Schedule appointments, verify insurance, manage charts, and handle front office duties. Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and PA Department of Health regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality. Support: Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and collecting specimens. Answer calls and provide patient education. Medication Administration: Administer injectable medication and vaccines under physician supervision. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior pediatric office experience strongly preferred. Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
