Medical Assistant Position
Are you passionate about helping kids be their best selves? UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support the office in Monroeville. Clinical and injection experience preferred. Pediatric experience is a plus. Responsibilities: Patient Care:
Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, labs, and assist physicians with procedures. Document patient information and relay instructions. Clinic Operations:
Prepare and clean patient rooms, manage inventory, and ensure infection control. Administrative Tasks:
Schedule appointments, verify insurance, manage charts, and handle front office duties. Compliance:
Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and PA Department of Health regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality. Support:
Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and collecting specimens. Answer calls and provide patient education. Medication Administration:
Administer injectable medication and vaccines under physician supervision. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Prior pediatric office experience strongly preferred. Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
