Shipping & Receiving Clerk needed for 3rd shift, if needed you must be able to work 1st shift too!
Position Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing all aspects of shipping, receiving, returns, carrier relations, order management, product management, and customer service. This role ensures the prompt, accurate, and organized handling of finished goods and raw materials while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Check in and check out truck drivers in a timely manner. Accurately process all shipping and receiving transactions, including legal documents. Assign drivers to appropriate loading or unloading doors. Coordinate with material handlers to load and unload trucks. Prepare and complete bills of lading for drivers and obtain proper signatures. Manage shipping and receiving of finished goods and raw materials. Handle returns and coordinate with carriers as needed. Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Provide excellent customer service to internal teams, drivers, and carriers. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and shipping regulations. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics (preferred). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Good communication and customer service skills. Basic computer skills and experience with shipping/receiving software or systems. Knowledge of bills of lading and shipping documentation (preferred). Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] as needed.
