Assistant Professor-In-Residence

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for an Assistant Professor-In-Residence in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics in the School of Public Health. Role of the Position This is a 9-month, non-tenure track position beginning in Spring 2026. The position requires a 4/4 teaching schedule with an option for course reduction with research activity and/or extensive departmental contributions. Candidates must have a solid methodological or applied background in biostatistics, statistics, or related field (IE - epidemiology), excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong interest in teaching and mentoring of undergraduate, Masters and PhD degree-seeking graduate students. Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in biostatistics and other public health related courses. Service is a requirement including academic, professional and/or community service participation. Minimum Qualifications This position requires a PhD in biostatistics, epidemiology, statistics, or another quantitative field from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
