Manufacturing Accountant
Our client in New Kensington, PA is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant to join the team. Job Responsibilities: Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and monthly financial statements. Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes accurately and on schedule. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all relevant regulations. Maintain, monitor, and analyze accounting records, ledgers, and financial reports. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow reporting. Prepare and file required tax returns, including sales/use tax, property tax, and corporate income tax. Complete company-mandated census reporting. Manage financial control of all fixed assets within the manufacturing department, including tooling. Analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies, irregularities, or areas for improvement. Job Requirements: Preferred experience working for a manufacturing company. Bachelor's degree with an accounting major. 8-10 years in cost accounting experience in manufacturing or similar area.
