The posted compensation range of $24.00 - $29.84/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. The Monitor Technician will assist the patient care team in providing efficient, quality care to the monitored patient by continuous observation of the EKG monitor and will assist in the detection and prevention of any life threatening arrhytmias. She/he must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. Minimum of one year clinical experience in an acute hospital setting as a Monitor Technician, EKG technician or Cardiology Technician highly preferred. High School Graduate or equivalent. A valid BLS card is required. Ability to read, write and speak English with clarity and comprehension. Demonstrates understanding of basic medical terminology and abbreviation. Self directed, able to organize and manage multiple priorities. Demonstrates proficiency in the operation /aftercare of the Telemetry Monitoring System. Basic Dysrhythmia course certification.
