Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
Tivoly, Inc. is a respected leader in high-speed steel tap manufacturing in the U.S. and part of an international, family-owned organization known for precision, innovation, and quality. We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety and compliance efforts at our Derby Line, VT facility. This is a high-impact leadership role in a collaborative, manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and corporate EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT). Complete and submit all required environmental and safety regulatory reports. Maintain documentation for hazardous waste, chemical inventory, and safety data. Program Leadership & ISO 14001 Oversee the Environmental Management System (EMS) and maintain ISO 14001 certification. Lead internal and external audits; track performance metrics and report EMS status to senior management. Incident Investigation & Prevention Investigate workplace injuries, illnesses, and near-misses. Prepare root cause analysis reports and implement corrective actions. Training & Engagement Lead monthly safety meetings and follow-up on corrective actions. Deliver EHS training programs including new hire orientation, PPE, LOTO, hazard communication, and emergency response. Hazard Assessments & Safety Culture Conduct ergonomic reviews and hazard evaluations. Ensure proper use and availability of PPE and other safety equipment. Champion a culture of safety and proactive risk mitigation. Qualifications Required: 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. Bachelors degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety. Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. RCRA certification, DOT HazMat certification, and 40-hour HazMat training. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Preferred: Experience leading ISO 14001-certified programs. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Hands-on experience with risk assessment, root cause analysis, safety equipment, and machine guarding.
