The Corporate Business Office is seeking a dynamic and talented Revenue Cycle Analyst
Patient Access. As a Revenue Cycle Analyst, you'll be responsible for assessing current revenue cycle processes and workflows; identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements, collaborating with teams (e.g., registration, billing, charging, coding, collections, and denials management) to streamline processes, reduce and recover denials, and optimize cash flow; and analyzing and monitoring revenue cycle metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Revenue Cycle Analysts perform a broad range of Revenue Cycle support functions including system maintenance, data analysis, report creation, and process improvement activities with oversight from other team members and management. Revenue Cycle Analysts supporting Patient Access functions are responsible for enhancing patient access processes within the UHS Acute Care Division by ensuring efficient, accurate, and patient-focused service through data analysis, system troubleshooting, and process improvement within scheduling, pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling. Patient Access Analysts collaborate with Central Business Offices, facilities, and vendors to optimize workflows, oversee upgrades and implementation of new and existing technology systems, document internal workflows, and provide education to maximize resource management. Key Responsibilities
Works with patient access vendors, particularly Experian and Oracle, on new product implementation and existing product improvement, system administrative support functions, and reporting development and distribution Evaluates eligibility vendor results and provides management regular updates on vendor performance Discusses and troubleshoots user issues with facility patient access staff Participates in testing and go-live events, both virtual and onsite, to implement new features or updates in patient access systems Assists in development and execution of facility training and education Qualifications
Experience & Knowledge: A Revenue Cycle Analyst should have 3-5 years of experience and a relevant college degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, health information management, or similar. An Analyst should possess a basic knowledge of healthcare finance or revenue cycle operations, including an understanding of registration, charging, billing, collections, and denials management processes. A qualified candidate should have strong professional written and verbal communication skills, proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.), and the ability to meet deadlines and multitask. ***Significant Revenue Cycle experience (i.e., 5+ years in addition to the minimum) might be accepted in lieu of certain college education requirements.
