The role: The Maintenance Technician is a skilled role that is responsible for maintaining and repairing various pieces of equipment in our warehouse including small motors and machines as well as power equipment. The right candidate will also assist in all general building maintenance including but not limited to minor electrical and plumbing repairs. This position will assist the facilities manager with paperwork to ensure the highest safety practices for the warehouse, preventative maintenance of the entire warehouse including forklifts, machinery, and miscellaneous projects. All Charlie's positions require the ability to provide clear and timely communication when necessary. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform daily tasks as assigned by supervisor. Assist with executing the facility preventative maintenance plan. Repair small motors and machines. Maintain building and maintenance on equipment at the direction of the facility manager. Maintain the facility grounds including lawn care and snow removal. Communicate when repairs will require third party contractors. Attend monthly safety meetings. Other duties as assigned. Required skills and experience: At least one (1) or more years' experience in General Maintenance. Industrial Maintenance (mechanical and/or electrical) is highly preferred. Ability to plan in detail. Effective communication skills. Proficiently read, write, and comprehend English. Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment and consistently meet tight deadlines. Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic small machine issues as well as basic electrical and mechanical problems. Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematics well enough to troubleshoot small motors, mechanical parts, and small electrical components like actuators. Ability to coordinate with contractors when necessary. Must be able to read and interpret written user manuals/repair guides. Requires prolonged walking, sitting, bending, stooping. Must be able to work in severe weather conditions and lift, push, and pull 75lbs.
