Senior Manager, Strategy Development
Reporting to the Head of Strategy Development of Process Solutions (PS), the Senior Manager will work across functions, including marketing, franchise, R&D, commercial, and operations, to develop and support the execution of the PS strategy. The Senior Manager will work as an individual contributor, but in a highly collaborative manner and a global context with co-workers, to identify growth drivers and challenges. She/he is able to develop data-driven approaches to deeply understand the market, competitive landscape, and customer needs of today and tomorrow and is comfortable with ambiguity. The Senior Manager is able to articulate key findings to senior business leaders and to establish credibility, trust, and respect across the organization to be seen as a true thought partner. She/he needs to be able to appropriately balance multiple priorities and work against tight timelines. Given the high visibility to senior management, this role presents excellent career advancement opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Support the strategy development process within PS in close partnership with franchise owners Identify market, industry, customer trends and translate into relevant insights for BioProcessing Define and prioritize emerging growth opportunities and articulate strategic options for BioProcessing Develop business plans for new initiatives, including financial modeling Partner with peers in market intelligence, strategy integration, and operationalization to ensure plans are grounded in facts and are actionable Act as partner to Business Development team to support M&A prioritization and target assessment Lead/support select strategic projects across functions and our Process Solutions business, using internal and external resources, including war-gaming, workshops Develop strategic content and analysis to support capital markets initiatives Work cross-functionally with Finance and Senior Management to ensure consistent and effective investor messaging Establish strong relationships across Life Science organization to ensure alignment with overall organization and understanding of our business Location: This is a global role that can be remote from anywhere in the US or EU Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: B.S. degree in life science, engineering, or related field 3-5 years management consulting experience required, ideally at a top tier firm Ability to travel 10-20% including international trips Preferred Qualifications: Solid understanding of the pharma/life science space Excellent presentation and communications skills Excellent computer skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel required Advanced degree in a quantitative field (MBA, Masters or PhD) preferred Deep understanding of Process Solutions market and business, superior analytical skills Proven experience in strategic planning and analysis required through mix of experience in consulting, strategy roles, preferably in Process Solutions Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Curious with sharp business acumen, analytic and communication skills; experience with financial statements a plus Simplify highly complex analyses to right level of detail with a bias for action Compellingly articulate, influence, and work successfully with varied audiences across all levels of the organization Results-driven Strong project management and facilitation skills, including experience with managing cross-function matrix teams Highly self-motivated with demonstrated agility to multitask, manage time, handle uncertainty, and work under pressure with limited direction Experience with digital analytics (e.g. Tableau) preferred The Company is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
