This role assists the Assistant Housekeeping Managers to supervise the housekeeping staff to ensure guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to standard. Will be responsible for inspecting the work of a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the hotel. What You Will Do
Trains and coaches, the staff. Schedules work to be done daily and monitors each Room Attendant's daily progress. Inspects completed rooms to ensure that all standards have been met. When standards have been missed, brings employee back to room to correct the deficiency. Coordinates work orders in assigned section. Follows up to be sure work is completed. Releases checkout rooms to be sold. Monitors the performance of House Attendants. Assures that there are sufficient supplies on the guest floors. Checks cleanliness of guest corridors, stairwells, elevators and linen closets. Executes inventories of linens and all housekeeping supplies. Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Public Areas Attendant, Room Attendant and House Attendant. Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. What You Bring
Minimum 1+ years of related or equivalent experience is required. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams. Must be able to work all shifts including AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed accuracy, follow through, and work with minimum supervision. Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English is essential, as is computer proficiency with Opera, HotSOS and REX systems are also preferred. Prefer bilingual in Spanish.
