Press Operator
Operate flexographic printing presses to produce a variety of card stock products using advanced machinery such as Telstar branded machines. Ensure quality and efficiency in the printing process by monitoring feeding and detecting any malfunctions or errors. Responsibilities
Operate flexographic printing presses with precision. Monitor feeding and printing processes to identify and correct malfunctions. Change and align print plates accurately. Perform preventative maintenance tasks including lubrication and roller inspection. Utilize hoists to set rolls of material onto machine hooks. Monitor ink levels and replace as needed. Conduct machinery setup and changeover. Execute press shut-down activities, including plate removal and cleanup. Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment. Complete work order documentation accurately. Prepare products for shipment, including repackaging, boxing, and palletizing. Identify, inspect, and report product defects based on quality standards. Essential Skills
5+ years of solid work experience in a similar role. Experience with flexographic printing. In-line, 3-web printing experience. Experience with UV ink. Experience with narrow web material. Troubleshooting and setup of machinery. Die cut and adhesive handling. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience maintaining print registration. Knowledge of offset printing. Working knowledge of UV inks and lamps, hot melt adhesives, and water-based glues. Ability to work in a team when operating larger equipment. Experience with card/label stock. Work Environment
Work Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30pm. The adjacent warehouse operation provides a dynamic work environment. Limited PPE is required, as the space is not overly noisy or dirty. Occasionally lift up to 40lbs, and engage in team lifts regularly, including lifting 75lbs consistently or 150lbs occasionally. Pay and Benefits
