Ivy Tech Work-Study Position

We are excited to offer an on-campus job position for college students! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experiences while balancing your academic commitments. We're seeking motivated students who are eager to join the Ivy Tech team! Work-Study positions are federally funded, part-time positions. These positions are located on campus, internship-type positions are available for general office support, lab and technology support, and tutoring. They also require clerical, computing, and telephone skills. The part-time support staff assists with the daily operations of Testing Services at the downtown Francis Ball Building. To provide appropriate proctoring services for non-Ivy Tech students according to required protocols and guidelines. Answer phones. Respond to customer queries. Promote, demonstrate, and maintain a professional manner and appearance. Assist in keeping the assessment and certification centers organized, clean, supplied, and well-maintained. Complete all required proctor for high stakes testing and employee training. Stay current with exam protocol changes. Provide general office support. Other duties as deemed fit by supervisor. Qualifications: Must be eligible for work study funding (Financial aid) Must be able to work independently. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. Must be currently enrolled, registered, and passing all classes. Must have experience working with PC-compatible equipment software and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software. Should demonstrate good customer service skills. To qualify for our Federal Work Study program students: Must be authorized to work in the United States Must have a high school diploma or GED. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each semester. Students must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have a current and completed FAFSA on file. Student must demonstrate financial need. Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.
