Payroll Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Specialist with expertise in managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees. Experienced in handling high-volume payroll across multi-state operations while maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Skilled in using payroll software packages and adept at reconciling payroll discrepancies, preparing reports, and collaborating with HR and the Finance teams. Responsibilities: Process biweekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll cycles for hourly and salaried employees. Verify timesheets, compute wages, and ensure proper deductions for taxes, benefits, and garnishments. Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in HRIS and payroll systems. Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax reporting, and internal company policies. Assist with year-end processing including W-2, 1099, and other payroll-related tax forms. Support audits by providing required documentation and responding to payroll-related inquiries.
