Journeyman Electrician
Our client, a leader in the electrical services industry, is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join their team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting various production teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Location: Anoka, MN Pay Range: $67,787 - $96,720 annually Position Type: Permanent OR Contract-to-Hire (short-term) Shift: 2nd Shift; 2PM - 10PM What's the Job? Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime. Diagnose and repair equipment issues related to electrical systems, controls, and PLCs, ensuring minimal disruption to production processes. Construct and modify new and existing electrical circuits and distribution equipment in strict accordance with NEC requirements. Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs and modifications, updating equipment files as necessary to ensure comprehensive documentation. Assist in the integration, start-up, and debugging of new or relocated equipment to ensure seamless operation. What's Needed? A valid MN Electrician license (minimum Journeyman) or the ability to test for the MN Electrician License within 30 days. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical prints, including European style electrical prints, and strict adherence to National Electric Code rules. A minimum of 4 years of electric/mechanical maintenance experience is preferred. PLC certification or demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, program, configure, and install PLC processors and components is preferred.
