Senior Accountant

Role Summary The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in supporting financial planning and analysis across key business segments, with a specialized focus on aviation operations. This position is instrumental in driving accurate reporting, strategic budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.
You'll be responsible for preparing detailed journal entries, managing monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, and maintaining critical databases that support aviation-related financial activities. This role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise, analytical rigor, and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries related to aviation operations, including accruals, recharges, and cost allocations Generate monthly financial reports with variance analysis against budget and forecasts Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly estimates with supporting documentation Maintain and update the aviation database with flight log details Reconcile account balances to the general ledger Coordinate quarterly and annual insurance, tax, and audit requests Support capital acquisition and disposal reviews Collaborate with operations and other departments to gather data and ensure accurate planning and reporting Execute special projects as assigned by management
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3-4 years of progressive accounting experience Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with MS Access preferred Familiarity with Hyperion (Essbase/Smartview), Oracle, and SAP Experience in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational capabilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Customer service mindset and collaborative approach Prior experience in the Media and Entertainment industry is a plus
