Role Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in supporting financial planning and analysis across key business segments, with a specialized focus on aviation operations. This position is instrumental in driving accurate reporting, strategic budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Youll be responsible for preparing detailed journal entries, managing monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, and maintaining critical databases that support aviation-related financial activities. This role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise, analytical rigor, and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries related to aviation operations, including accruals, recharges, and cost allocations
  • Generate monthly financial reports with variance analysis against budget and forecasts
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly estimates with supporting documentation
  • Maintain and update the aviation database with flight log details
  • Reconcile account balances to the general ledger
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual insurance, tax, and audit requests
  • Support capital acquisition and disposal reviews
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to gather data and ensure accurate planning and reporting
  • Execute special projects as assigned by management
  • Key Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 34 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with MS Access preferred
  • Familiarity with Hyperion (Essbase / Smartview), Oracle, and SAP
  • Experience in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Customer service mindset and collaborative approach
  • Prior experience in the Media and Entertainment industry is a plus
