We are a leading manufacturing company specializing in equipment manufacturing and technology. Blentech Corporation is a manufacturer of custom food processing systems based in Santa Rosa, CA. For over 35 years, we have creatively blended function, durability, sanitary design, safety, and performance into the design and construction of Blentech systems. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality components with tight tolerances for various industries. We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist II or III to join our Manufacturing Team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional capable of operating, setting up, and troubleshooting Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery to produce precision parts. Depending on experience, candidates will be considered for a Level II or Level III position. CNC Machinist II
Responsibilities & Duties Machine Operation & Setup: Operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, etc.) to fabricate parts according to blueprints and specifications. Perform medium-to-complex setups, including selecting and installing tooling and fixturing. Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet tight tolerances and quality standards. Perform tool and offset changes as needed to maintain accuracy. Process Management: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Monitor tool wear and replace tooling as required. Troubleshoot basic machine issues and communicate more complex problems to a supervisor. Documentation & Safety: Complete required shop paperwork, maintain a clean and safe work area, and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. Qualifications & Skills Experience: Typically 4+ years of CNC machining experience in a production or job shop environment. Technical Skills: Proficient in operating CNC lathes and/or mills. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Measurement: Skilled in using various precision measuring tools. Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. A two-year college degree or technical CNC certification is a plus. CNC Machinist III (Senior Level)
Responsibilities & Duties Advanced Operations: Independently operate and perform complex setups on multi-axis CNC machines (3, 4, or 5-axis mills and dual-spindle lathes). Programming & Editing: Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs directly on the machine or using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam). Be proficient in G-code and M-code. Troubleshooting & Process Improvement: Act as a subject matter expert, troubleshooting complex machining issues and performing machine recoveries. Identify opportunities to improve machining time and processes, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Manufacturing and 5S. Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to less experienced machinists (Level I and II) and other team members. Qualifications & Skills Experience: Typically 5-7+ years of experience, with demonstrated success as a Level II machinist. Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of multi-axis machining. Proven ability to program, edit, and optimize CNC code. Experience with a variety of controls (e.g., FANUC) and working with different materials (e.g., titanium, aluminum, composites). Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex parts and first-part runs. Certifications: NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) certification is often preferred. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform physical tasks. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires visual acuity for reading blueprints and precision instruments. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to machine fluids.
