Job Description Under the direction of the Manager, this position provides clients with investment guidance, support, and services. Assists with compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and bank policies, including Anti-Money Laundering laws, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, securities laws, Fair Banking, Bank Secrecy Act, and USA PATRIOT Act. Responsible for sales and relationship management activities in accordance with Bank of Hawaii and firm policies.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain investment relationships; formulate investment solutions; deliver recommendations based on client goals and risk profile. Use required licenses (Series 7, 66, 65/63, or CFP) to solicit and service mutual funds, insurance, and advisory services. Ensure timely execution of transactions and compliance with industry and bank policies.
Solicit clients via phone, networking, and referrals; travel for client servicing and prospecting; refer clients to specialists; utilize CRM system for tracking activities.
Stay informed on market trends, product changes, and regulatory updates; attend training and complete continuing education.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
FINRA licenses (Series 7, 66, 65/63) and State of Hawaii Life, Accident, and Health license. CFP certification preferred.
Experience Level I: 2+ years in brokerage or advisory, with $200K-$500K production. Knowledge of securities and financial markets; CFP preferred.
Level II: 5+ years, $400K-$700K; expert knowledge of securities and financial planning; CFP preferred.
Level III: 7+ years, $600K-$1M; expert knowledge; CFP strongly preferred.
Technical Skills Proficiency with MS Office, familiarity with bank systems.
Other Qualifications Strong analytical, communication, and relationship skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexible hours; valid driver’s license.
