nJob Summary
nThe Process Engineer serves as the key liaison between Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering teams, ensuring smooth data flow, accurate product configuration, and effective implementation of processes across systems such as Epicor ERP. This role is essential in standardizing routings, maintaining production documentation, supporting product launches, and driving process excellence across departments.

nJob Duties and Responsibilities
n• Act as the primary technical interface between Design Engineering and Manufacturing for product and process documentation.• Create, review, and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, part numbers, and manufacturing methods in Epicor ERP.• Lead and support engineering change order (ECO) processes from design through release to production.• Ensure product configurations align with fabrication and assembly capabilities, documenting constraints or revisions as needed.• Partner with production teams to validate routings, material requirements, labor standards, and operation sequencing.• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline data handoff processes using standard work practices and system integration.• Support new product introductions by ensuring ERP data and manufacturing readiness align with launch timelines.• Collaborate on continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing scrap, optimizing work instructions, and improving first-pass yield.• Maintain accurate, version-controlled work instructions and job travelers tied to engineering releases.• Other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
nRequired Skills and Experience
n• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering—or equivalent experience.• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with strong ERP (Epicor preferred) exposure.• Solid understanding of part structures, routings, materials planning, and engineering documentation workflows.• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and change management.• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
nAdditional Skills and Abilities
n• Experience with ERP configuration or MRP logic• Background in configuration engineering or product lifecycle management (PLM)• Project management experience or certification• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 tools and data integration• Strong documentation and SOP drafting skills
