Vera Cocina & Bar – Washington, D.C.
Vera is a bold and vibrant Lebanese-Mexican concept rooted in storytelling, culture, and hospitality. We’re looking for a passionate and driven Assistant General Manager to help lead our growing team and uphold the elevated guest experience that defines Vera.
The AGM will work closely with the General Manager to manage daily operations, guide our front-of-house team, and support a seamless, high-energy service across brunch, dinner, and late-night programming. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, brings a collaborative leadership style, and is deeply committed to hospitality, accountability, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead by example on the floor to ensure warm, attentive, and consistent guest service
Support the GM in day-to-day operations, including scheduling, inventory, service flow, and team management
Coach and develop FOH staff through regular feedback, pre-shift meetings, and service observations
Uphold and implement Vera’s service standards, culture, and operating procedures
Step into service roles as needed and foster strong communication across FOH/BOH teams
Collaborate on special events, private dining, and brand activations
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in upscale or high-volume concepts
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
A genuine passion for food, beverage, and creating memorable guest experiences
Attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure
Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required
