Job Opening: Experienced Line Cooks – Afro-Caribbean Kitchen (Fort Greene, Brooklyn)
We’re a vibrant Afro-Caribbean restaurant in the heart of Fort Greene, Brooklyn, proudly serving bold flavors rooted in heritage and culture. We’re currently seeking well-rounded, experienced line cooks to join our growing kitchen team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong knowledge of Caribbean, West African, or soul food is a big plus
- Ability to work stations efficiently (grill, sauté, fry, prep)
- Strong knife skills, attention to detail, and commitment to consistency
- Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for food and culture
- Punctual, clean, and able to handle pressure during service
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes to spec with speed and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Assist with prep and daily kitchen tasks as needed
- Follow food safety standards and kitchen protocols
