We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team, full-time. A Sous Chef plays a vital role in the success of a restaurant or food service establishment. Here are the key responsibilities typically associated with this position:
Staff Management and Development : Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to standards and protocols. Continuously train staff on new techniques, recipes, and safety procedures to improve kitchen efficiency and staff performance.
Inventory Control : Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering, and maintain stock to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently.
Food Safety : Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Cost Management : Assist in monitoring food costs and labor expenses, developing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.
Quality Control : Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
Equipment Maintenance : Ensure all kitchen equipment is well-maintained and functioning properly, coordinating repairs as needed.
Collaboration : Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and communication between kitchen and dining areas.

Requirements:- Proven experience as a Lead Cook or Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant setting.
- Strong ability to train and lead
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a culinary institution is a bonus
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to communicate and direct professionally and effectively is a must.
- Passionate about food and dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality and creativity.
- Savviness in technology & MS excel is a must. Proficient in kitchen management software and inventory control systems is a plus.
