The Associate Category Advisor will report directly to the Director, Category Insights and work collaboratively as part of Walmart Category Advising team for our branded and private label products. Location: Bentonville, AR 100% onsite office role About The Position: This is an exciting new opportunity for those looking to grow and develop their career retail Category Management. As an Associate Category Advisor supporting Walmart with safety products, you will leverage top-tier customer engagement and collaborative team-selling to develop mutually beneficial category-based solutions and foster deeper, more strategic customer relationships. By delivering exceptional customer service and insights, you will strengthen customer relationships and drive success. You'll work alongside a team of seasoned advisors to deliver category growth strategies, analyze performance trends, and influence merchandising decisions that touch millions of consumers in the important safety products category. Key Responsibilities: Partner with Walmart merchants to deliver actionable recommendations and support key initiatives Assist in the development and execution of modular planning process including live sets at the LOC Provide support to the Category Advisor in the management of Hand Tools, Power Tools, and related categories. Lead and manage Safety Protection category responsibilities, setting clear expectations and ensuring execution of category plans. Use ProSpace (JDA) software to assist in developing Walmart modulars Analyze Walmart modulars and provide recommendations to improve efficiency/effectiveness Analyze Walmart business using multiple data sources; diving into POS, market share, and shopper insights to uncover trends and opportunities Monitor Category Performance and track KPIs, identify gaps, and propose solutions to improve category health Participate in buyer meetings that include Modular Relay planning, Consumer insights sharing, and Strategic Business Reviews Analyze and develop clustering of like stores Recommend potential expansions of categories within the Walmart footprint Conduct competition reviews for product gaps and pricing gaps Additional projects and responsibilities as required by the business Experience And Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education & experience required 12 years of Walmart Sales Analysis experience required Strong analytical skills with a passion for turning numbers into narratives Experience with ProSpace (JDA) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including reporting software and business intelligence tools such as advanced Excel, PowerPoint and visualization tools.
