THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) will oversee and directly manage key regional accounts (Grocery, Club, Mass, Speciality, etc), supporting all aspects of the sales cycle, including management of existing accounts, brokers, and distributor relationships in partnership with the Regional Field Sales Manager and Field Sales Team. A proactive approach to all aspects of customer, broker, and distributor management is a must! The ideal candidate is hungry for success. You're always looking for new opportunities to grow and foster not only your revenue but your relationships with your retailers. You love finding solutions for your retailers and strive for unity throughout the sales process toward a mutually beneficial goal. You'll be working with a highly driven and supportive team that loves tackling new challenges and working towards big achievements together. This is an individual contributor role and reports to a Senior Director, Sales - National Accounts. The role is remote, but living close to a major airport is required due to travel demands. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for building & managing relationships with national & regional accounts including; grocery, mass, natural, club and specialty chain accounts Develop and implement account strategies to expand distribution, increase SKU availability, and execute promotional & display plans to meet brand, volume, and KPI objectives Manage all trade spend to meet financial goals with customers and brokers Broker management, communication, and follow-up Conduct analysis and develop presentations to increase feature and display activity, expand distribution, optimize shelf position, and grow market share Proactively execute customer development strategies as directed by senior management Maintain regular communication regarding account progress, pricing, promotional activities, and resets with all relevant teams Work with the field sales team to develop and communicate execution standards for key selling and display events Use category management skills to maximize distribution, shelf presence, and promotional support in all assigned accounts Maintain and analyze distributor and market data, including SPINS/IRI, and prepare reports for senior management Stay informed about the competitive landscape in the territory Spend approximately 80% of time selling and managing customer relationships, and 20% in retail accounts sharing best practices and exploring in-store opportunities Travel as needed via car, train, subway, taxi, and air ABOUT US:

Four-year college degree or relevant experience 5+ years of proven sales experience with key retail accounts Self-starter with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Experience in retail channels such as Grocery, Club, Mass, Natural/Specialty Experience with large and small brands, trade management, and promotional planning Strong computer skills including PPT, Excel, Google Docs Experience with various route-to-market models: DSD, Broadliners, Direct, etc. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills Positive attitude and sense of urgency BENEFITS:
