We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Interventional Cardiology team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Center. This is a full-time position, 36 hours per week, primarily based at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Center, with potential coverage at MedStar Franklin Square Hospital. Our efforts help advance cardiovascular care regionally and nationally through the MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute, focusing on clinical research, improved diagnostic tools, and patient-centered treatments. MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Center has a long-standing reputation for expert care of patients with complex heart and vascular conditions. We are consistently ranked among the top cardiovascular programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, and have formed a pioneering alliance with Cleveland Clinic Heart & Vascular Institute in heart care, innovation, and research. The PA/NP will primarily be responsible for pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery of Interventional Cardiology patients. The role involves working in a well-staffed, state-of-the-art lab, with immediate access to experienced APP peers and physicians for professional growth. The typical schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week, with occasional shorter shifts and rotating weekends. There may be opportunities for later coverage hours, including nights. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program. Experienced in Acute Care APP roles. License/Certification/Registration: Valid license and certifications as required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
