Gastroenterologist Locums Job Bread & Butter Gastroenterology ALL Inpatient Coverage
Jackson and Coker's partner in northern Mississippi needs 1-2 GIs to assist with locums inpatient scopes / call coverage starting in September & ongoing. Detailed below are the specific dates that the facility is seeking coverage; ideal candidate(s) would be open to consistent ongoing coverage, have some flexibility to their schedule and share a commitment to continuity of patient care & creating a strong culture. - 7am 9/8 - 5pm 9/10
- 7am 9/15 - 5pm 9/17
- 7am 10/6 - 7am 10/8
- 7am 11/3 - 5pm 11/5
- 7am 11/24 - 5pm 11/30
- 7am 12/1 - 7am 12/3
- 7am 12/15 - 7am 12/17
- 7am 12/24 - 7am 12/28
+1-3 weeks per month in 2026
Coverage needed:
GI Hospitalist model Monday-Friday, 24 hour call Saturdays and Sundays
Hoping to privilege physicians with a minimum of 5-7 days/month of availability starting in 2025
Coverage Details for Assignment :
Current Board Certification and/or true Eligibility required
Active Mississippi medical license required (open to considering candidates who can obtain quick licensure via the IMLC)
24-hour call coverage with 8 hours in-house Monday-Friday, 24 hour call Saturday/Sundays (no mention of clinic needs at this point)
Will see 4-6 scopes per weekday, will be covering the ED, see new consults, do emergent procedures & daily patient rounding while on assignment
Average 4-6 scopes per day, consults are between 3-5 per day & will see 3-5 emergent cases per week
Additional information about mid-level support is pending
