Millennium Business Systems is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting functions of the company, including managing the general ledger, financial reporting, forecasting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, benefits and insurance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day accounting operations including AR, AP, bank and credit card reconciliations

Oversee the accuracy of all transactions and financial reporting

Prepare financial statements and reports to assist with budgeting and forecasting

Develop a team of accounting staff to ensure high performance and accountability

Oversee payroll and benefits administration

Manage the month end and year end close out processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement preparation

Sales tax and personal property tax return filing

Collaborate with other departments to ensure that accounting processes and procedures support overall business operations

Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance

5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a managerial role

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience with financial modeling, budgeting and projections

Experience managing and growing a team

Base salary range $70,000 - $95,000 depending on experience
