This position will be located at our NA business headquarters at 13830 Circa Crossing Drive | Lithia, FL.

You will also be eligible to work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Project Engineer, Lead The Project Engineering Lead will be responsible for providing project management and engineering services to proficiently manage strategic capital projects from inception through completion by following Mosaic’s CPM process and procedures to execute Mosaic's phosphates strategic priorities. Tasks include preliminary and detailed project planning and execution, focusing on scoping, business case development, engineering design, scheduling, cost estimating, cost forecasting, budget control, project change management, procurement, project status reporting, supervision, construction management, and supervision of contract engineers, designers, contractors, and subject matter experts as needed to accomplish project goals. The Lead Engineer must have deep technical knowledge, the ability to tackle complex challenges, develop strategic opportunities into successful projects, and manage multiple projects with significant business impact. Effective communication skills and the ability to lead task force teams are essential, especially as the job will primarily focus on water management and other strategic project portfolios. What you’ll do: Ensure projects follow Mosaic's capital process management (CPM Road Map) from engineering design (developing engineering work packages, managing engineering firms, reviewing deliverables) through construction and commissioning. Act as liaison between project stakeholders including operations, maintenance, reliability, EHS, permitting, legal, agencies, third-party consultants, and contractors to ensure project objectives and metrics for EHS compliance, quality, performance, cost, and schedule are met. Prepare, maintain, and present weekly/monthly project status reports to Mosaic leadership, including progress, productivity, cost, and schedule, utilizing Mosaic’s CPM processes, project reporting scorecards, and accurate forecasting tools like SAP/CCMR. Deliver projects on time, under budget, meeting quality expectations, and without safety injuries. Promote Mosaic's safety culture and ensure safety is integrated into all project phases. Collaborate with Procurement to develop procurement strategies, scope of work, RFQ/RFPs, conduct pre-bid meetings, evaluate bids, and review invoices. Participate in the company's commitment to an injury-free workplace through project safety leadership, aiming for zero injuries. Mentor engineers and manage co-op students or interns. What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, civil, or electrical engineering. 10+ years of project management experience on medium to large-scale ($20M-$100M) capital projects in industrial plants. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Maximo. Proven project management skills and experience managing multiple phases of mechanical projects at industrial plants. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage strategic priorities across teams. Broad engineering and construction knowledge across disciplines. Experience delivering projects in operating or brownfield environments. Knowledge of risk analysis, safety integration in design and construction, and case management.
