Where will you work: This position will be located at our NA business headquarters at 13830 Circa Crossing Drive, Lithia, FL. You will also be eligible to work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Project Engineer, Lead The Project Engineering Lead will be responsible for providing project management and engineering services to manage strategic capital projects from inception through completion, following Mosaic’s CPM process and procedures to execute Mosaic's Phosphates strategic priorities. Tasks include project planning, business case development, engineering design, scheduling, cost estimating, budget control, change management, procurement, project reporting, supervision, construction management, and supervision of contract engineers, designers, contractors, and subject matter experts as needed. The Lead Engineer should have deep technical knowledge, the ability to handle complex projects, and manage multiple projects with significant business impact. Effective communication skills and leadership in task forces are essential, with a primary focus on water management and other strategic project portfolios.
What you’ll do:
Ensure projects follow Mosaic's capital process management (CPM Road Map) from engineering design through construction and commissioning.
Act as liaison among project stakeholders including operations, maintenance, reliability, EHS, permitting, legal, agencies, third-party consultants, and contractors to meet objectives and metrics for EHS compliance, quality, performance, cost, and schedule.
Prepare, maintain, and present weekly/monthly project status reports to Mosaic Leadership, including progress, productivity, cost, and schedule, utilizing Mosaic’s CPM processes and reporting tools.
Deliver projects on time, under budget, meeting quality expectations, and without safety injuries.
Promote Mosaic's safety culture and ensure safety is integrated into all project phases.
Collaborate with Procurement to develop strategies, scope of work, RFQ/RFPs, evaluate bids, and review invoices.
Participate in Mosaic's safety initiatives, aiming for zero injuries during project execution.
Mentor engineers and manage interns or co-op students.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, civil, or electrical engineering.
10+ years of project management experience on medium to large-scale ($20M-$100M) capital projects in industrial plants.
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Maximo.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing multiple phases of projects involving engineering, procurement, and construction at industrial plants.
Ability to work independently and manage strategic priorities with cross-functional teams.
Broad knowledge of engineering and construction disciplines.
Experience in operating or brownfield environments, with safety integration skills.
