We have three (3) immediate openings for Core Faculty positions in our Family Medicine Residency Program , located at our Whittier and Downey campuses . This is a unique opportunity to join a progressive, collaborative team dedicated to shaping and growing the next generation of family physicians. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, leadership, and clinical excellence in both inpatient and outpatient settings. *An Associate Program Director position is also available* Key Responsibilities
Clinical Teaching & Supervision Actively teach and mentor
residents and medical students
in inpatient and outpatient clinical practice. Oversee the
education and performance
of residents and medical students. Supervise
outpatient prenatal care
provided by residents. Participate in
inpatient rounding
with residents approximately
every 4–6 weeks
(subject to faculty schedules).
Academic Leadership & Program Development Deliver
8–12 lectures annually
on key Family Medicine topics. Regularly review and enhance the
residency curriculum . Lead and contribute to
residency committees . Oversee
quality improvement projects
across the residency program.
Resident Advising & Procedural Supervision Serve as an
advisor and mentor , providing guidance to residents. Perform and supervise
common outpatient procedures , including:
Musculoskeletal procedures Dermatologic procedures Gynecologic procedures
(Pap smears, contraception procedures, colposcopy)
