We are building a technology suite that is making our restaurants operational experience more convenient and efficient! The Cloud Solutions Applications Architect is responsible for managing, developing, and designing our cloud environment, framework, and integrations between our applications and the cloud. They must provide a high level of expertise in defining and executing cloud strategies, as well as providing a high level of support with all interactions of our cloud implementation. They will work closely with our developers and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth integrations with all restaurant systems. They must know how to build, maintain, and enhance our cloud space, and ensure we have an environment that is performing and scalable to meet our restaurant systems demand. A great Cloud Solutions Applications Architect ensures reliability with all processes that interact with our restaurant cloud environment. JOB RESPONSIBILITES: Cloud Architecture (50%) o Design, Architect, and develop enterprise grade systems that are resilient, scalable, and secure, supporting all restaurants for KFC US. o Lead risk analysis activities and develop risk mitigation plans. o Drive continuous delivery initiatives to production for all systems o Partner with our security team to secure our solutions and data from intrusion. o Refine application architecture in a cost-effective way to meet the organization’s changing business requirements while continuing to meet service level agreements (SLAs) for availability and performance. o Document and communicate updated architectural patterns, component design, and development processes.

Cloud Implementation / Development (40%) o Review code of other team members for quality and best practices o Develop and deliver on time high quality applications that meet business requirements o Oversee release management via Azure DevOps and monitor subsequently in production for defects o Review and recommend implementation technologies, best practices, and skills for application delivery success. o Support and extend the integration of emerging technologies into restaurant systems o Create technical documentation o Analyzing product technical debt and determine with the Product Owner the priority to resolve o Lead full stack application development in Azure (from front-end to data/API driven back-end code) o Participate in the development of high-level estimates to support ROI analysis

Communication / Cross Functional Engagement (10%) o Be an advocate for ways in which cloud-based technologies can improve our restaurants, for our customers, team members, and other internal brands o Provide code review to other developers to suggest improvements and ensure best practices o Represent KFC IT in discussions with both internal and external resources for improvements and troubleshooting o Manage complexity of working on, or supporting, multiple projects at a time o Act as subject matter expert for more junior team members, providing mentorship where needed o Responsible for providing direction and guidance on large cross functional projects o Frequent interactions with Sr. IT leadership, internal stakeholders, and vendor partners

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: • KFC Data Management, KFC Operations, KFC Legal, KFC IT, KFC Finance, YUM IT, YUM Payroll, YUM/KFC Security, KFC HR, KFC FIT, KFC Helpdesk, External Development teams

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED: • Education/Certifications – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems / Computer Engineering preferred Experience o 5+ years of relevant work experience as a full stack Azure developer o 2+ years of experience in continuous integration/deployment within a DevOps environment o 3 years of experience working in an agile team o Knowledge of Web application security, web services and SOA architectures o Must have delivered multiple projects in software architecture, analysis, coding, deployment, and documentation using modern languages, tools, and processes. o Performance testing, profiling, and tuning o Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while working on long-term goals o Proven ability in solving unique and complex problems o Experience with modern Cloud Computing technologies o Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills, including data visualization and diagramming Salary Range: $137,400 to $189,420 annually + bonus eligibility.

This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
