Senior Data Scientist

Senior Data Scientists located in Bellevue, WA will lead the application of machine learning techniques and statistical methods to solve business problems. Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Drive the entire machine learning (ML) lifecycle, which includes conducting problem framing, data collection, exploratory data analysis, model development, deployment, and performance measurement. Extract, prepare and model large, complex data sets. Deliver on-time quality analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of data into effective, concise, and actionable recommendations that enable intelligent decisioning for the company. Provide senior-level guidance and mentorship to the data science team, including reviewing projects, models, and code for peers and junior team members. Leverage geospatial data. Work with engineering teams to implement and improve machine learning pipelines and production-ready models. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicant must work from the worksite location at least 3-4 days per week. No additional national or international travel is anticipated. Skill requirements: Leading requirements gathering, problem definition, exploratory data analysis, and Machine Learning modeling and deployment to solve operational issues. Applying Statistical and Machine Learning modeling using Hypothesis Testing, Bayesian Modeling, Generalized Linear Models, Decision trees, Random Forest, Clustering, and Natural Language Processing. Developing Machine Learning model pipelines in Python using Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Scikit-Learn, and Gensim; and in R using Datatable, Ggplot2, GLM, Caret, BRMS, and CMDStan. Working with SQL to extract and explore large scale data to create datasets to augment operations and decision-making. Working cross-functionally to develop and deploy Machine Learning Models in production environment. Preparing project documentation to highlight methodologies and recommendations using writeups, graphs, and presentations to streamline and enhance business decision-making. Experience and education requirements: PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Statistics, Information Management, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience. ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Information Management, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience. Washington Pay Range: $183,581.00 to $186,400.00/year. The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed.
