Description
Leidos is on the lookout for a dynamic Lead Program Manager to spearhead intricate, cross-disciplinary programs while guiding a team of program managers. This position demands a strategic mindset, outstanding leadership abilities, and a solid history of achieving high-impact projects. The Lead Program Manager will be instrumental in driving program success, ensuring alignment with business goals, and nurturing an environment of collaboration and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Define, plan, and implement large-scale programs, guaranteeing alignment with business objectives, deadlines, and budget constraints.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of program managers, delivering guidance, performance evaluations, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior leadership, diverse teams, and external partners to build consensus and address conflicts.
- Process Optimization: Create and enact scalable program management frameworks, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and results.
- Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate program risks, ensuring proactive strategies to overcome challenges.
- Performance Tracking: Set KPIs, monitor program advancement, and report results to executives and stakeholders.
- Change Management: Guide teams through organizational transitions, ensuring seamless integration and adoption of new processes or technologies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 12+ years of program or project management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position managing other program managers.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, cross-functional programs in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in program management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMI, NPI).
- Aptitude for influencing and building relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification is advantageous.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of radio frequency technologies or related programs.
- Experience with aviation security technologies or programs.
- Familiarity with TSA, DHS, or other governmental regulatory bodies.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
