Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in electrical and mechanical systems to join our dynamic production team. This role involves working autonomously to repair complex equipment and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless operations. Responsibilities

Repair highly complex electrical and mechanical equipment autonomously, describing symptoms to vendors and implementing suggested repairs. Collaborate with Supervisors and Leads to restore faulted equipment by contacting vendors and acquiring additional resources or technical assistance. Connect and communicate with PLC processors to diagnose and repair machine problems. Perform operations necessary to repair machinery using skills such as arc or gas welding, soldering, drilling, and tapping. Replace bearings, shafts, gears, pins, and keys, and operate all machine shop equipment. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate test equipment. Fabricate and weld steel structures to enhance machinery functionality. Determine the feasibility of repairs or the need for service technicians. Analyze and diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems, tracing circuits when schematics are unavailable. Plan, layout, and install circuits and distribution equipment according to applicable codes. Fabricate, install, and repair electrical systems on production equipment using drawings and schematics. Locate and resolve machine malfunctions, replacing worn parts and reassembling machines. Repair, maintain, and assemble various components such as safety guards, motors, relays, and other attachments. Move heavy equipment and machinery within the plant area. Ensure safety and housekeeping by addressing discrepancies immediately. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment. Take initiative to resolve discrepancies, contact Engineering for problem resolution, and prepare necessary documentation. Rebuild hydraulic valves, cylinders, and pumps. Run plumbing and electrical services to new or relocated equipment. Essential Skills

Excellent electrical and mechanical aptitude. Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical ability. Knowledge of welding, brazing, and soldering techniques. Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical blueprints. Demonstrated high level of initiative. Ability to complete tasks independently and use equipment and tools properly. Proficiency in troubleshooting machine malfunctions. Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic in English. Commitment to safety and ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in preventive maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC troubleshooting. Proven ability to see tasks through to completion without reliance on others. Why Work Here?

The work environment is non-climate controlled, loud, and may involve working in dirty conditions. Shifts are available as follows: 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), and 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denison, Texas. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
