Customer Service & Account Manager

As a Customer Service & Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, responsible for delivering exceptional service and driving account growth. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can build strong relationships, resolve complex issues, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure customer satisfaction and business success. This is a Direct Hire role located in Buffalo Grove, IL.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the main liaison for assigned customer accounts, ensuring consistent and personalized communication Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, and support revenue growth initiatives Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships through regular follow-ups and responsiveness Manage and resolve complex service issues and customer escalations with professionalism and efficiency Prepare accurate and timely quotations; follow up on open leads and opportunities to drive conversions Collaborate with external sales teams to execute account strategies and improve quote-to-order success rates Maintain up-to-date CRM records, including customer interactions, opportunities, and account details Monitor and report on key performance metrics such as revenue growth, lead conversion, and CRM engagement Provide product information and recommend top-selling items to support customer decision-making Expedite urgent shipment requests and communicate order status updates clearly and promptly Troubleshoot customer issues and ensure thorough follow-through until resolution Identify and recommend proactive solutions to enhance the overall customer experience Collaborate with internal teams to share insights and improve service processes Update customer records, including pricing, shipping addresses, and contact information Ensure accurate and timely handling of inquiries and complaints to maintain high satisfaction levels Must be able to type 50-70 words per minute to manage communication efficiently Qualifications:

Proven ability to manage customer accounts and serve as a primary point of contact with professionalism and responsiveness Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience in proactive customer engagement and follow-up Skilled in handling complex service needs, resolving escalations, and troubleshooting technical issues Proficient in preparing accurate quotations, tracking leads, and collaborating with sales teams to support account strategies Experienced in maintaining CRM systems with detailed records of customer interactions, opportunities, and account updates Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, with typing speed of 50-70 WPM and attention to detail in order processing and data accuracy

Job Details:

Direct Hire Hybrid after training Pay is $55k-$60k, depending on experience
