Financial Operations Coordinator - Microbial Infection & Immunity

Serves as Financial Coordinator for the Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity; manages inventory and procurement of laboratory supplies and equipment; identifies cost-saving collaborative purchasing opportunities; assists with financial reconciliation; serves as backup department procurement card manager; serves as liaison to the COM & OSP Service Centers, Shipping and Receiving, and other offices as necessary to identify and resolve issues related to transaction processing; communicates university policies and procedures; maintains office supplies and central copier/printer; maintains financial records; serves as Equipment Coordinator; tracks and tags equipment for inventory, monitors and evaluates equipment service contracts; coordinates and oversees new equipment installation; calculates equipment use and creates invoices for billing; assists with research components of employee onboarding; maintains personnel safety training records; conducts training; attends and provides administrative support to Department meetings and committees. Minimum Education Required: High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration desired. Additional Qualifications: 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Computer skills with demonstrated ability to use technical applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and Workday desired; advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel strongly desired.
