Adecco is currently assisting a long-time trusted client in Valley Cottage, NY seeking a Payment Operations Specialist ! The ideal candidate for this position would be detail-oriented, self-reliant, and a team player. Working in this high-speed environment, you will need to meet production and quality standards, so accuracy and attention to detail are imperative. Location: Valley Cottage, NY (on-site)Shift Available: Monday - Friday 12 PM - 8:30 PMPay Rate: $18 / hr. Temp-to-hire for the right person!Responsibilities may include: Preparing batches of work by extracting checks and remittances from envelopes.Operating Imaging/Extraction equipment (OPEX 50/51/60, OPEX 7200, OPEX 150).Inputting data into the system while following standard operating procedures and customer specific instructions for processing.Verifying negotiability of checks through customer specific instructions for processing.Analyze all transactions to ensure payments are properly processed.Maintaining site productivity and quality standards.Recommending procedural and workflow changes to enhance quality and productivity.Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.1+ year working in a payment processing or banking operations role would be a strong plus!Ability to occasionally lift and move mail trays.Strong team player mentality with good communication skillsFlexibility and willingness to cross-train and learn all job functions.What's in it for you?
