Workers' Compensation Premium Auditor
ADP is hiring a Workers' Compensation Premium Auditor. The position impacts ADP's financials and client retention by helping to ensure that client's workers' compensation bill rates are properly set and that our clients are properly billed. The tasks associated with these positions directly impact our workers' compensation program costs. Job functions include reviewing ADP TotalSource's client's operations and employee duties using available information to ensure client's employees are assigned the correct class code per applicable NCCI and state workers' compensation bureau requirements. Properly document in detail the individual accounts reviewed, information gathered for review, and the review results. Review and analyze internal reports, workers' compensation insurance carrier reports and other available source to verify the correctness of workers' compensation class codes assigned to ADP TotalSource client employees. Conduct accurate and timely reviews as required within the audit procedures and guidelines. Maintain compliance with class code rules within each state including monopolistic states. Responsibilities: Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, as well as clients to develop and maintain cooperative relationships, including calling and emailing communication. Act as the workers' compensation class code subject matter expert to provide accurate and timely assistance for any client class coding issues. Review and approve workers' compensation class code set-up and change requests for client worksite employees. Maintain documentation to support decisions to change client employees' class codes or the setup new class codes for client's use. Perform all necessary system transactions and approvals. Work within stated guidelines and procedures to assist with final policy audit premium reconciliation. Assist in resolving any carrier, client, or state classification issues. Provide direct assistance in resolving state workers compensation bureau criticisms. Prepare accurate and detailed audit reports document all issues involved in appropriate systems. Keeps current on all class code scopes changes and class code additions made by NCCI and/or state workers' compensation boards. Use appropriate documentation and reports related to ADP TotalSource's clients' business operations and their employees' duties to ensure that the client's employees are assigned the correct class code per applicable NCCI and/or state workers' compensation bureau requirements. Provide guidance to other business units within authority level. Provide direct involvement in the sales process by acting as a subject matter expert and assisting client acceptance in the review and proper class coding of new business. Provide direct support and assistance when needed for special projects. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: 2+ years of directly related experience as a workers' compensation premium auditor working directly or indirectly for the commercial insurance industry Strong working knowledge of NCCI Scopes and state class code manuals. Strong computer skills necessary to access, retrieve and analyze information using use Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
