Job Description Job Title: Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) - 4x12 Hour Schedule
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for the night shift (18:45 - 07:15) on a 4x12 hour schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for RNs looking to contribute to patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients during the night shift. - Work within a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6, ensuring optimal care and attention for each patient. - Perform clinical tasks including starting IVs, wound care, and surgical drain management. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy, to deliver comprehensive patient care. - Document patient information accurately using Meditech and communicate effectively with the healthcare team utilizing SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation). - Attend required orientation sessions and training with educators. - Meet the weekend requirement of working every other weekend.
Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry setting. - Required certifications: BLS and ACLS. - Experience with patient care concepts, including isolation precautions and management of dysrhythmias. - Familiarity with medication administration and tracking via Omnicell. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team and float to different units if necessary.
Additional Information: - Dress code: Navy scrubs. - Candidates must be willing to undergo lab testing and complete required modules within specified timelines. - Candidates with a NC or Compact license pending are encouraged to apply but must have the license in hand at the time of the start.
