Qualifications To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Currently employed VA physicians who met the initial appointment requirements are deemed to have met the basic requirements. Basic Requirements: U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens only when recruitment of qualified citizens is not possible. Degree of doctor of medicine or equivalent from an approved medical school. Current full and unrestricted medical license in the U.S. Residency training approved by the VA, leading to eligibility for board certification. Enrolled residents in approved programs may be appointed as Physician Resident Providers (PRPs) on a limited basis. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Preferred Experience:

Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, leadership experience, amputee and TBI experience. Physical Requirements:

Moderate lifting, reaching, pushing, standing, walking, vision, hearing, and emotional stability. Duties

Provide patient care in various clinics including Polytrauma/TBI, inpatient rehabilitation, and Blind Rehabilitation. Provide clinical leadership and guidance. Ensure compliance with policies and standards. Participate in interdisciplinary teams and committees. Perform consultations and invasive procedures as per privileges. Coordinate care to improve patient outcomes. Engage in continuing education and quality improvement activities. Other duties as assigned.
