Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled
PLC Engineer
with 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and troubleshooting
PLC-based control systems
for material handling equipment and automation solutions
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for automation and material handling systems. Work with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Client PLCs to develop efficient control solutions. Perform HMI/SCADA development and integration for automated systems. Conduct system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless operation. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to optimize system performance. Modify and improve existing PLC programs for performance enhancement. Provide on-site and remote support for system commissioning and troubleshooting. Maintain documentation, including wiring diagrams, control logic, and program backups. Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation. Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Client PLCs. Strong knowledge of ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming. Experience with HMI/SCADA systems such as Wonderware, Ignition, or FactoryTalk. Familiarity with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, etc.). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in industrial control systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs. Experience with robotics, motion control, and conveyor systems is a plus. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in material handling, logistics, or warehouse automation. Knowledge of industrial safety standards (NFPA 79, NEC, OSHA, etc.). Experience with database integration (SQL, MES, IIoT solutions). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel as required.
