Reporting to the Tool Room & Maintenance Manager, the Tool Maker II is responsible for the fabrication, modification, and repair of precision tools, molds, jigs, and fixtures. This role is essential to supporting the efficiency and continuity of manufacturing operations by developing and maintaining the high-quality tools necessary for production. The Tool Maker II collaborates closely with both engineering and production teams to ensure all tools are built to exact specifications and comply with established quality standards. This position will be onsite in Loveland, CO.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Fabricate, modify, and repair precision tools, molds, jigs, and fixtures using various machine tools and hand tools.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and CAD designs to create and modify tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues.
- Ensure all tools meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of tool modifications and repairs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the tool room.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 4+ years in related role in an applicable environment
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Advanced technical or mechanical problem solving
- Ability to recognize and solve non-routine problems; completes work with limited direction
- Communicates detailed technical information with tact and diplomacy, both written and verbal

The compensation range for this role is $29.52 - $34.92 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
