RSM is seeking an Audit Manager to join our Insurance team . Our Insurance group is a rapidly growing practice nationwide, focused specifically on insurance companies, where we are the middle market leaders across the country.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide timely, high-quality client service, including coordinating audits of financial statements, disclosures, and other deliverables.
  2. Assess risk and design audit procedures, communicating effectively with engagement teams.
  3. Understand and utilize RSM's Audit Methodology.
  4. Manage multiple engagement teams and evaluate staff performance.
  5. Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors, ensuring productivity and adherence to schedules.
  6. Maintain client contact throughout the year to understand significant developments.
  7. Develop and mentor staff, facilitate industry training, and participate in firm initiatives.
  8. Stay informed on industry publications and share relevant insights with clients.
  9. Address client concerns proactively and escalate issues when necessary.
  10. Identify opportunities for business growth through relationship management.
  11. Manage project profitability and communicate accounting and auditing matters to leadership.
  12. Identify performance improvement opportunities and ensure ongoing professional development.
  13. Keep abreast of GAAP and firm standards.
  14. Willingness to travel up to 25% of the year, depending on client needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent.
  • CPA or CA certification.
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in public accounting.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams and mentoring staff.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB, or IFRS regulations.
  • Proven ability to build profitable client relationships.
  • Minimum of 4 years in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing staff on multiple engagements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successful track record of directing staff on multiple engagements.

Salary Range: $89,800 - $170,500. Compensation includes a discretionary bonus based on performance.
