Senior Accountant (Interim)
Addison Group's client is searching for an Interim Senior Accountant for a 2-3-month basis. This role pays $40-45/hr and is hybrid in Arlington, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Support tax preparation, audits, and external reporting requirements.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
